1.The Gladius Hispaniensis came into widespread service in the Roman army after the Hannibalic war.
2.There were no legions stationed in Brundisium in 218 BC.
3.I really don't know if Philip won that skirmish(Gladius civilopaedia entry).I just assumed so, cause it would be rather inapropiate to give orders to "bury the dead unseen" when one is on retreat.
4.The city legion unit (and civilopaedia entry for that matter) is purely speculative cause although i've seen references to books of these unit types freeing up field legions for front line combat duty, i have not been able to establish their exact purpose.
5.The marshes of where Hannibal lost his eye while crossing them have been placed at estimated locations.
6.The Roman navy was based in Ostia and Sicily at the start of the seconnd Punic war. For gameplay purposes stating Roman galleys are placed all across the Adriatic.
